Our Story

In 1986 St Croix Valley Crisis Pregnancy Center located in Amery, opened its door as the only pregnancy resource center in Polk County. Later, a second office, the Osceola Total Life Center opened in Osceola. Eventually all services were moved to Cascade Street in Osceola, and a name change to Options for Women-Tri-County our outreach expanded to include Burnett and northern St. Croix Counties. In 2023, needing more space and better visibility, and with a guidance of the Holy Spirit, the purchase of our current location at 2048 US Hwy 8 resulted in a new and current name, Options on 8, Inc.

Our services have always been entirely free of charge to our clients, thanks to the generosity of our donors, the abundant work of our volunteers and the dedication of the Board of Directors. Since 2023 our center has added numerous services including post-abortion counseling, a mom's support group, birth control and natural family planning information and education. In 2024 we expanded to include a medical program offering limited OB ultrasounds and STD/STI testing and treatment. the medical program includes a registered nurse trained to perform limited obstetric ultrasounds and a physician to oversee all medical care.

Over the years the mission has remained the same. To provide women a safe, judgement-free environment to weigh their options. No on should have to make such a life-altering decision without the proper understanding of how that decision will affect their lives.
